I don't know if this list will mean much to Multichoice but I would like to suggest some
movies to air: 1)"Escape From Absolom" a.k.a. No Escape (action movie starring Ray Liotta); 2)Backdraft; 3)Who Framed Roger Rabbit; 4)The Land Before Time; 5)Tango & Cash (starring Kurt Russel and Sylvester Stallone). These movies could easily appear on M-Net stars and the M-Net Action channels. These are some real classics. |

Tango & Cash played on SABC about a week ago. As they saying goes, "walala wasala" = "you snooze you lose".

I am sure that Kill Bill 1 and 2, Donnie Darko and even Who Framed Roger Rabbit have previously been shown on DSTV. Open to correction though. Most of the others mentioned, have no appeal to me, but that is not to say that Multichoice shouldn't perhaps be looking at them. I wonder how the movies that ARE shown are chosen for viewing? Is it a package that includes ten movies or do Multichoice choose which movies they want to show individually.
Then also just who is it that goes out and makes the decision on which movie to buy. Is there a panel of people or an individual. Personally I have taken to hiring and viewing movies from the late 50's, 60's and 70's and have found them to be far more entertaining than most, note most not all, of the latest offerings which seem to rely too much on special effects and not enough on a good storyline. So for me more of the older films would be appreciated. And yes I know there is TCM but there is very little change to the movies shown on this channel. How many times can one sit and watch Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Kelly's Heroes, The Dirty Dozen just to mention a few. All good movies but shown too often. My opinion anyway. |

i personally cannot stand "old" movies. they should just have their own channels like they currently do. and with the emergency of HD why would one want to go back to the ancient technology?
