Default RF in or RF out

Hi guys please help

connecting heartbeat cable HD PVR and SD PVR

Where does the cable go for the HD PVR RF in or RF out?
Also the communication port in the HDPVR settings should it be set to RF in or RF out?

Please help

It depends on your set-up - check the installation sticky.

Connect according to the instructions, call centre doesn';t ask what your set up is they tell you different to what youve set RF out became RF IN in my case so its case of suck it and see.

It depends on your actual installation see the installation sticky as C4 suggests

(a) The SD PVR CAN ONLY be the Secondary AND it can only receive HBs via the RF OUT port so on the SD PVR the setting is Communications port = RF OUT
(b) The HD PVR therefore has to be the PRIMARY if paired with the SD

If you choose to use the RF IN port then Communications Port = RF IN
If you choose to use the RF OUT port then Communications Port = RF OUT

BTW when you contact call centre and they start asking you about your installation, DO NOT TELL THEM you have used the RF OUT port because they will immediately refuse to proceed with the activation - just lie to them and say it is RF IN.
