Default Nazi Megastructures

I notice Nazi Megastructures is available on the DSTV Now App but isn't available on my Explora. Any reason for this?

Hi Ermeric1

Apologies for the delayed response.

Nazi Megastructures is only available online and on the DStv Now App due to rights.

Now this is a surprise, especially since Fox's NatGeo has had many things on Explora CU / CU+.
Isn't the series made by them, how much more complicated can rights get??

Maybe this feedback can be sent to the channel? - "Really not good enough, you're over-complicating your viewers' lives! "

On second thoughts, my above comment may be inappropriate.

It just occurred to me that this could well be a sensitivity issue - showing a "positive" side of the Nazis may be in poor taste for the many minorities that were affected by them, so perhaps this series is being kept more out of the limelight.

Hi Optimist

I have asked our programming team to check and confirm with the channel.

Feedback to be posted once received.

Well with the History Channel turning into Hillbilly Heaven and just having a load of reality series National Geographic and Discovery are the only channels where subscribers can watch historical content.

And I do think that this is rather silly with regards to rights. If I can watch it on CatchUp on my Laptop, Smartphone or Tablet why not on Catchup on my Explora as it is on the Explora where I'd be able to view the original broadcast in the first place!

Yeah, these rights do get silly. We've heard that the studios / suppliers can sometimes demand whatever they want.

This morning I discovered that S04E06 of Nazi Megastructures is now in the Shows section on CU+

Go figure... change of circumstances or just a mistake??
