So Everton have bought about 3 teams of players, and essentially sold 1, and have a net financial position of roughly 0.

Sounds like decent business to me, if the players brought in are worth anything.

is that it? previously you would show all the pre-season friendlies. the friendlies not just the tournaments.

Liverpool has a game tonight against tranmere rovers and friday against wigan.
Arsenal has games tomorrow and saturday.

Just in case Sandtonman misses this post I've banged off a pm to him regarding this matter. Please advise all who wish to participate in this competition to watch this space for further developments. At the same time spreading the word and looking for others to come and join us.

Would be great to have more supporters from the lesser known teams joining in as well.

Hi BB, Thanks for the heads-up; Done, the DSTV Forumites pool is set-up again for the new season.

Invites should have automatically gone out to those on the attached screenshot.

As BB says, new members are most welcome plus, we expect our Chelsea mate from north of the border ( with a silver UEC PVR) to be active again this year

Cheers, K.

ps -- still in the UK until the very end of August, but have missed out on both the Arsenal vs Leicester and Community Shield games this year as I have a diary clash on both dates k

As long as he's only the champ with setting up the competition and doesn't skin us alive once the competition starts will I agree with this 'welcome back' message.

Anyone play the Superbru Fantasy Football tournament or interested in doing so? Perhaps we can set up a league there as well?

Back to the EPL. A good few sides have made numerous signings, Everton being one of them, but I've yet to hear of Spurs making a single one? Surely, they need to also improve their squad? However, the prices being asked for players has now gone way out of all proportion to their worth. Can perhaps understand why some clubs, Spurs?, are not purchasing the players they'd like. Stupid money being banded about.

Liverpool after Keita from RB Leipsig and after apparently offering 70 million pounds it was deemed to be not enough. Southampton also wanting over 50 million for van Dijk. As for the money being mentioned for Neymar to move ........

Just plain ridiculous. Why even jose mourinho is saying this. Yet he was one of the biggest spenders with pogba costing somewhere in the region of 90 million. So I don't know why he should suddenly start making those comments.

Dstv sucks, I mean we only watch two international football leagues and one (bundeslega) if cup matches are on. Sucks there is so much we are missing, even a bloody pre-season tournament in the U.S we cannot see agh. Its EPL like its the only bloody league in the world. And I pay close to a 1000 a month pshh
