Default Ethernet Port failure?

I have a Explora and a Explora 2a which was purchased on the 09-June-2017.
What is also of interest is that I can ping the Explora from any computer on the network but not the Explora 2a.

Explora 2a
Pinging 192.168.0.2 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 192.168.0.2:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)
I have tried giving the Explora it's own address in the router and on the Explora which does not help.
Not sure if this connected to the Slow Download Speeds:-

Could be related to a general newer problem that's been going around - in the Installations section see Explora 1 Ethernet connection

Could well be. I see there was not a satisfactory answer from MC about the problem. I wonder if it was resolved.
