Default Purple color on Explora picture

About once every 2 weeks when I switch my TV on, the picture has this strong purple / pink color. As soon as I change to another DSTV channel, I briefly get a grey snowy picture and then it resets back to normal color, so I assume this cannot be my TV. See attachments. Has Anyone seen this?

Yep, a reboot will also fix.
It's thought to sometimes be a loose HDMI connection, but it's more common than that IMO.

Mine stopped when I supported the connection with an empty small Lion matchbox.
You can also try alternative HDMI ports on your TV, if it has them.

I also sometimes get that. Just switching the Explora into standby and back on again normally sorts mine out.
Octo-LNB to 2 x 5.2 switches. Explora 1 (Primary) & HDPVR 2P (Secondary) in lounge, Samsung 55" UA55F8500 Smart 3D LED TV, HDMI picture and audio via Onkyo TX-NR626 receiver, Samsung BD-F7500 3D Blu-Ray player. Explora 1 in bedroom with HDMI picture & audio to Samsung 32" UA32F5500 Smart LED TV.

BTW, in my case it was usually or always pink.

I think it's on the Explora 1 only, never heard of it on the 2A.

Only get that infrequently on my distributed TVs, and only when feeding from the Pace. Never from the Explora and never on the TV directly connected to the decoders
Quad LNB Explora switch 5.1
Explora (Primary) Pace 4Tuner HDPVR (Secondary)
Xtraview - decoders same room - 3 distributed HDMI endpoints via 2x4 Matrix and Cat6
100/50 Fibre (OpenServe/AH Capped)
DSD1110 in holiday mode
DSTV Mobile via Drifta WiFi (S5& iPad)
