Not necessarily. The prequels didn't exist when I watched the original trilogy and I had no trouble understanding it. And there's an argument that you don't need to bother with the Phantom Menace as most of what happens is largely irrelevant to the series as a whole.

Kinda felt like punishment some bits. I'll watch it from CU as I do with almost everything and skip the tedious bits.

I'm quite sure I saw it's 7 on the article, but dstv.com is down at the moment so can't check.

BTW, for those who want it, the CU+ entry has since been moved to the normal Series section.

imdb.com confirms that it's 6. Includes synopses:

And reviews are here (mixed like this thread):

I suppose not everyone will like a certain show. We are all entitled to our own opinion. However if you don't like it please don't go on and on about it. It ruins the fun for the rest of us that's enjoying it. Thanks jp out

Go figure, without the Elon Musk advertising spots Mars is actually a pretty decent show. Who would have thought 🙄

It was a dark and stormy night.
(But because his installation was sound, his DStv reception was perfect.)

I actually enjoyed the documentary bits, because they gave me a lot of information of what's currently going on behind the scenes as it were

If you want to read something that is quite relevant but actually fiction, try reading Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy - Red Mars, Blue Mars and Green Mars. Very plausible.

I'm also finding it quite informative - it is very much a split between a series and a documentary and not too bad.
