Default Possibility of Survivor coming to M-Net?

Now with SABC3 going to have 90% local content, that means Survivor may be cut.

Would Mnet consider taking over the rights? Then not only can we watch it in HD, but also go through the next 4 seasons back to back so that we can catch up to the season that the US is on

Ask Sony channel they air the amazing race they might air it. I seriously doubt m-net will air that program in this country

Personally I don't think M-Net is the right channel for this - maybe Vuzu....

Has there been any official announcements anywhere as to which shows they are dropping and keeping?

I think it being way behind could be a big stumbling block as I doubt that any of MC's main series channels would be prepared to air it for that reason. However, putting it on M-Net Family might not be a bad idea as being behind may be less of an issue there, and having it available on one of the cheaper packages may encourage those fans without DStv to sign up, whereas I think they'd be less likely to go for Premium purely to watch Survivor.

But if M-Net don't want it, then I wouldn't be surprised it e.tv pick it up.

I guess there is also the option of just starting with the most recent series.
