The storm yesterday never reached us. Relatives on a farm in the Karoo got really soaked. 28 mm fell in less than 30 minutes. In that part of the World that sort of down pour causes real chaos with plenty of run off, mud and slush.

A few weeks ago they had to abandon their vehicle in a field and walk in the dark, 8 km to get home because a small dam had burst and flooded the road. So this rainy season is trouble for everyone all over the country.

It's a bit stormy here in Edenvale. Also at home heard Thunder rumbling a few times. Also been having light drizzle for a while too

Yip has been building for the last hour here in Sandton.

Looks like it may be moving slightly to the North West; so hopefully we will miss the worst of it. It is raining here at the moment and looks heavier still down towards MC in the valley.

Yup we ended up with getting 11mm of rain and one almighty lightning strike that shook the foundations of my home! Scared the living daylights out of us as it was not preceded by any warning rumblings or build up. No signal drop outs on the decoders.
