Default Just watched 'A Few Good Men' on BucketList channel

Hadn't seen it in years. Really enjoying the varied selection of movies on this channel, thanks MC.

So Jack Nicholson was in the middle of his famous "You can't handle the truth!" speech when a huge, pink, offensive advert for "Pretty Woman" took over a large part of the screen. What are you thinking MC? I honestly don't understand why you would go to the trouble of assembling a fine lineup of movies and then ruin the experience for some of us who'd actually like to watch the movie rather than this junk. It isn't enough to plaster a large, garish, multicoloured channel logo in one corner and a countdown number in the other - more screen clutter was required? Really?

If this is truly aimed at 'movie lovers', then why not let us enjoy the movies and trust us to work out that Pretty Woman is also on the schedule? Please, please, if anyone from MC reads this rant then please pass on this feedback to someone who can consider a change of approach, before more classic movies are ruined. It's getting to the point where I'll probably be avoiding watching some of my all time favourites like Blade Runner, I can just imagine the Forrest Gump promotion during the "Tears in the Rain" monologue.

Sad.

I fully agree with you. Surely the programmers can be better employed sorting out the various problems we experiencing like the this is a pvr and all the reboots than thinking up ways to irritate the viewers like the super bright/large program icons.
Another source of irritation is the "like us-follow us on twitter" "you may also like" "you are watching....." popups thrown in between adverts during the ad breaks.
Surely this supposedly entertainment not social media.

I'm sticking to CU+ copies for this pop-up channel.

@The M-Net Group, what is going on with you, again??
How many times must these concerns be brought up - as I recall the last time it was a major issue it was with your messing with Carte Blanche, what on Earth makes you think the majority of people's feelings about these bling and advertising clutter incidents will ever change??

Truly troubling for a long established set of channels, if you must find ways to improve your image then please be practical enough about it.
As much as I've liked your group and for a long time, personally I've avoided your actual live channels for years now, and although this isn't the main reason it's sure had a strong influence. CU options only as much as possible for me, as long as it's kept clean enough.

I also avoid live TV as much s possible for this very reason. With the amount I am paying I do not want or need my viewing spoiled in this manner.

BTW, with what I've seen of these movies on CU+ there's been no garish or any other logo, or any sneaky ad invasions

Normally I wouldn't mention this in case it leads to them correcting it, but under the circumstances and with only a couple of weeks left I think it will be safe now.

EDIT: @M-Net Group - kindly remember your promise, not to interrupt movies with ads... and manipulating how you can instead do that, even for your own content, is hardly honest...

Jus chillin, watching them scatter their buddy's ashes in The Big Lebowski #channelformovielovers

(At least in a bright scene like this the logos in every corner of the screen are less visible, when this happens in Godfather/Blade Runner I look forward to getting a proper camera out and coming up with a viral tweet!)

Shocking and totally unnecessary to have all those adverts etc cluttering up the screen. Can Mnet kindly come forward with just one viable reason why they need to be there in the first place? Even if the "bucket list" logo is deemed necessary does it have to be so big and bright? As for the advert advising what's coming next If I want to see what the next movie is all I have to do is click on the i button and I can scroll and see what's coming up in the next 24 hours. No need to spoil my viewing as you have been doing.

A great idea of showing these "bucket list" movies which is to a certain extent being spoiled by these logos. Such a pity.
