Hi All,

Well colour me impressed. From making one comment in The Lounge to a whole other thread with 2 pages.

So great to see an active community.

Having a couple of issues with my Netgear setup and the one DSTV Wifi Connector. The other WIFi Connector connected to my Huawei works fine.

I am also considering getting Ethernet over Power. As my wife has forbidden me from running network cabling in the house.
Explora (Primary); Explora (Secondary); Explora 2 (Tertiary) Smart LNB (LMX501); Drifta and Showmax

Default DSTV WIFI Connectivity problem

I am having a problem with the Wi Fi connector much like it seems most people are? I have a Hauwei LTE router upstairs in a double storey house. Laptop connected directly to the router via LAN gets -+/- 37Mbps d/load 3.46 u/load. Downstairs I have an Explorer and an Explorer 2 connected via Wi Fi connectors , both of which only get d/load speeds varying from 0.67 Mbps to 1.33 Mbps. If I connect my laptop directly to the wifi connector(that is connected to the Explorer 2 ) via LAN I get 23.77Mbps d/l and 3.55 Mbps u/l. Makes no sense that the signal strength recieved on the laptop and the wifi connecter are so different? Had a half hour talk to DSTV connected services and he says that the Explorers are not compatible with LTE signals as they bounce aroubd too much however my signal is rock steady. Any ideas what it might be?
