Default DCC Cancellation letter

Hi

Yesterday I received a letter in the post that my DCC has been cancelled. I never requested this so would like to know what's going on.

I sent a copy of it to dcc@multichoice.co.za last night, but last time it took days for someone to respond so would like to ask if this can be escalated and attended to today. CASE NUMBER: 7122471

Thanks

I saw on DStv's fb page a lot of customers received this letter. Some gremlin in their "new" system again?

Some lost their DCC contracts and got no letters, others lost their contracts and got letters, and others got given DCC contracts without them requesting a DCC,

So according to the "Law of Averages" on the whole everything balances out and I bet you the "Dash Board" indicator show a marginal change in the number of DCC contracts ....

Yes I am completely cynical about these systemic management control measures that are so popular these days -----. NOTHING replaces good old fashioned management techniques such as manually checking things and following one's gut instincts.

Got a call from Thabiso. Nice chap. Said there is a system glitch.. surprise surprise

He's going to get IT to look at it and reissue a new policy for me (without the waiting period)

I really feel for the MC employees that have to deal with the fallout of these FAILED system upgrades.

Hi there Shaun, have sent your query to the head of our DCC department.

As far I understand, this is a system-generated email that gets sent automatically if your account has not been paid for some time. Have asked the DCC guys to let me know what has happened so I can post this here.

Apologies for the frustration on your side.

The policy was cancelled again (also happened a few months ago) that was linked to my inactive HDPVR. I'm on the older explora R799 DPP so the account should always be paid via debit order.

Hi Marietjie

Any luck in getting info from the DCC guys?

Additionally, Can I please get confirmation of my DCC contracts.

My Setup:
Explora - Primary active (NO DCC)
SDPVR - Secondary active (YES DCC)
HDPVR4P - Inactive (YES DCC)

Thank you

Hi Shaun - I thought they were dealing directly with you and have been in touch (at least that is what I've been told?)

The DCC folks will need to confirm the contracts with you - I don't have access to that system (also interaction is guided by financial services regulation.)

Will ask them to follow up with you again.
