My comment is to ask:

What is the decoder model HD4S2 used for? Is this a DVB-T2 compatible decoder?

Hi Geoff D

The HD 4S-2 decoder is a satellite decoder.
This is simply a variant of the HD-4S decoder.

This is not a DVB-T2 decoder as it is not capable of handling Terrestrial signals.

The sorting issue is still very much just one part of my frustrations with MC
Not too long ago I was visiting family in both UK and Ireland. I asked my tech-savvy son in Dublin what problems he has with their broadcasts, and program scheduling. He looked at me as if I was mad, and said "what problems .. I've never heard of such issues"? I raised my eyes and suggested we adjourn to the local pub so that I could cry into my beer, while regaling him with stories about the incompetencies of SA broadcasting services(sic).

You must have been quite drunk by the time you finished telling him about our woes? Must have taken you some time to do so and your throat must have got dry very quickly from all the talking you had to do?

Here's an improvement I've just noticed.

Seen with The Leftovers S03E03;
When playing a CU title, if exiting soon it now doesn't get ticked as watched. Tried multiple times to make sure. We watched more of it later, did then get ticked.
I don't know how long it takes to register for ticking, with older decoders I think it used to be after 5 minutes.

For those who still want to tick things such as movies not desired, just fast forward a few minutes before exiting.

Excellent. I've been wanting that feature.

I think I've misunderstood what's happening with this delayed-tick function - the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory arrived late on CU so had already seen it, just played it and exited quickly (forgot it should be for longer) yet the ticking happened anyway.

Perhaps only on newer titles, or still experimental? Guess we'll have to see as we go.
