Default Using Smart LNB not need HeartBeat

I replaced a quatrol LNB to SLNB which is connected to one explora and one DSD1132, So I removed the heartbeat cable because the SLNB has a built-in Diplexer. But now is giving me an extra view alert message. Any advice guys?

Someone else will confirm but my understanding is that the need for a HB cable only falls away if ALL the decoders in the setup are Exploras. The DSD1132 will still require a HB cable.

True Krugie, although only the newer Explora 2A has it built in.

When all decoders in XtraView are Explora 2, then no heart beat cable needed

The dsd1131 requires a heartbeat cable as it works on legacy feed only and a diplexer on works through unicable , this installation will not work without a conventional heartbeat between the explora2 and the Dsd1131.

Just to complete the picture for anyone else finding this thread.

Heart Beat via the Smart LNB cabling ONLY WORKS between Explora decoders, and SOME of the HD decoder models.

Older decoders that support unicable (SATCR) connections can also use HB via the Unicable, provided a diplexer is installed behind those decoders.

The Explora 1 will require an external diplexer, as will the HD decoders and some HD PVR's.

The HD decoders only require the diplexer IF set to use one of the unicable inputs and only if that make of HD decoder allows for a unicable input to be used. HD decoders that only allow for a connection to a legacy port will require a separate HB cable.

ALL older decoders require a separate HB cable, when combined under XV.

Only one older decoder can be combined with an Explora under XV.

@ AXL it is not possible to have xtraview with a dsd1131 decoder with a diplexer as that decoder does not support unicable on normal universal and u cant cross over from unicable to universal. there has to be a Heartbeat cable.

Not possible. Check those installs carefully. The Explora 1 must have a diplexer behind it. And then there will be a RF distribution cable connecting the two decoders together to view content on RF somewhere. That cable will carry the HB signal between the Explora 1 and the legacy decoder. Even if RF is not used and the cable connecting the two decoders together is there for relay control, the cable will be carrying the HB signal.
