Whew, it was very scary. Traffic a nightmare in the Sandton Randburg area this morning. 1 in 3 sets off traffic lights not working; either flashing red or totally out.
Cheers K

Randburg had quite a few trees uprooted and plenty of HEAVY rain - my rain meter was overflowing when I checked this morning!

The Vaal had one hell of a hail storm. A hailstone actually jumped through the window "plonk" into my glass of coke!
Warzone outside.

Lightning fried a lot of kit in Henley on Klip. I was up to the wee hours replacing computers and alarm repeaters for the local neighbourhood watch. Emergency phone line also down. Call is 222CTZ as of 8 this morning.

The thunder and lightning was horrendous in Golfpark
The Husband refused to unplug his Explora because "aw man, its the last couple of overs (cricket". Fortunately still safe and sound.

Default Wednesday Storm.

Sandton Weather Man here!
Another decent sized electrical and rain storm over Sandton and Randburg!
Expect possible disruptions.
Cheers, K.

I'm just glad for the cool air! Jan.'s weather got shifted to Feb.

Looks like it may miss Pretoria again, although I'm seeing possible light showers on its edge around Midrand / PTA South.

Lightning directly overhead-to-ground and very scary at the moment!
Cheers, K.
