Default The 24 -1Z MS

@MC Field Services please.

This week, there have been a number of persons that have struggled with setting more than one decoder connected to a SLNB (LMX 501), and wanting to pass HB via the SLNB between the decoders. Remote signaling also became an issue.

It then occurred to me that maybe an alternative would be to make use of a 24-1Z MS instead, but this depends on this MS being able to be used to implement a 3-decoder connection with a Explora 2 as the primary. I cannot see why not as it is the Explora 2A that has the functionality for the 3-decoder option.

What would be very interesting for MC to comment on with the 24-1Z is the following:

(1) Can the 24-1Z handle HB via it and the LNB cables?
(2) Will the 24-1Z pass remote commands between decoders?
(3) What about RF distribution also? Is this switch (and for that matter, the SLNBs) allow RF signals to pass through if a diplexer is used behind the decoders?

yes the 24-1z switch has the same chipset as the smart lnbs
2) Will the 24-1Z pass remote commands between decoders?
yes
3) What about RF distribution also? Is this switch 9 and for that matter, the SLNBs allow RF signals to pas through if a diplexer is used behind the decoders?
not recommended for the switch or the smart lnbs. there is signal loss and you cant use Tv links,
for distribution , stick to the conventional method of distributing
