Default Number of Episodes in season on EPG

Hi MC

Why does Catch Up show the episode number and total number of episodes in the season whereas the EPG only shows the episode number?

Here is an example:
On Catch up, The Good Fight displays as S1/E7 of 10, but on the EPG it shows only as S1/E7

The catch up display method is much better as everyone knows how many episodes there are in the season, how many episodes remaining, etc.

I recall raising this issue on the old mnet forum about 8-10 years ago as well as this forum maybe 5-6 years ago. This was before it started displaying like this on catch up.

I assumed my old sd & hd pvr's were outdated, that's why this wasn't displayed. But having upgraded to the Explora 2a, I see this still isn't shown. If I recall correctly, the reason/excuse why the info wasn't shown was due to the limited capacity of the old decoders

Please explain why number of episodes can't be shown universally

I think this would be something more appreciated then the NEW tag. I've also asked for this before.

Yip. It's been a topic of conversation a few times over the years.

I think the reason is yes limited space on epg. How about instead of (S1E6 of 10) It's (1/6 10) or something similar. That way we can save space

Should allocate a permanent and consistent space for the series notification as in: S99E99/99 e.g. S02E10/12

On top of that, the total number of episodes are shown on CU but not on CU+ - that is even more irritating for me personally ....

Hello

Yes, we absolutely agree with all of you. This is something we're working on getting onto the EPG. We've requested and started to receive this information from some channels. However, we don't have a date for implementation just yet.

The information for many series is also available from... your own company's Catch Up team

Oh, and if there's a technicality in that the info must be confirmed by the channel before you can use it, it will have already been confirmed for that team

Please respond if I'm somehow wrong.
