Default New: info on epg

OK this is new.

Now we get a clear picture when. It's a new or repeat program

Except, we have no idea if that's a new season, a new episode, or just shown for the first time on that channel.

Anyway, it's a start. We've only been asking for it for years and years and years.

Personally, I prefer the tags at the end of the EPG ....

Not sure i like it on the EPG.... and it's inconsistent. Tonight NCIS doesn't have it...while Code Black at 13H05 today does have it and surely must be a repeat?

And now it also shoes in the Season Manager as "NEW: xxx" ... Oh well, guess it is better than no indication at all.

I prefer it in the description, as apposed to the title. Have a look at that link I posted from years ago.

Just one more thing for MC to get wrong when it comes to the EPG/TV Guide/iPlate/etc.

Today we seem to be back at standard EPGs without the NEW indicator.

Folks this was just a test. But it caused some issues in the background with the EPG so we're back to the drawing board.

You don't have to draw on the board, I did it for you .... YEARS ago.

Just come up with a system of tagging that is consistent across the channels. It's so easy. I realise there is resistance. But, how successful was the LIVE tag on the EPG for sport. Suggested 6-7 years ago. It's awesome.

Tags could be translated to icons depending on the platform.

For example.

DD Tag : Icon on the decoder, app, online guide.
LIVE Tag : Text added at the end of EPG description. Icon on the app and online guide.

Etc.
