Default Increase without notification?

Apparently the fees have just gone up - over R600 was taken from my bank account this month with no notification that the fees have increased. The cost of DSTV has just gone up and up - its starting it get ridicilous. Ive thought of going over to a cheaper option but the main reason we got the dish was for Carte Blanche (Mnet) and for equestrian sports (which is hardly ever on anymore!)
My question is, why were we not notified of an increase?

Prices were increased in April already, I suggest you look at your statement

Now, I usually enjoy finding fault with MCA, but is this case they are super-efficient, as they are always very prompt in advising subscribers of their increases. Surley you have an e-mail address? Let MCA have it, and you will receive their early notifications of the many more increases you will enjoy during your life with MCA.
Wait .. there's more ... if they know your e-mail address, they can even send you your monthly statement via e-mail.
Isn't technology amazing?

not sure if they have my mother's email address but she was not notified at all.

Hi Filly,

We sent out letters to all our subscribers, via snail mail and email, and we posted notifications on this website as well as on About Us on the digital decoder. This was all done one month before the annual price increase took effect.

I am not certain why your mother may not have received her posted letter, but maybe her personal details need to be updated? This can be done on My Account on this website, provided your mum is registered for the service.
