Default HD PVR + Tv guide

I have an HD PVR (not using the PVR functionalitty) and since DSTV is no longer printing the schedules for shows, I have to use the on screen schedule, the problem is that I can only see the next show and not the entire day/week.

Is this because I don't have the PVR function and if so, well thats horrible service.

Which decoder and package do you have?

The decoder should still allow you full 8-day EPG access for the channels in your chosen package even though you are not using the PVR functionality??

MC??

Okay,

Now I understand what the issue is.

The decoder will not be able to download the extended EPG info without the 2nd LNB connection. This has nothing to do with whether you use the PVR facilities or not.

The hardware requires a TWIN LNB with 2 cable connections to give full basic services.

Only the basic now and next info is included with the channel being viewed, so thta is all you will get until you install a TWIN LNB and a second cable from the antenna to the decoder.

Also expect a software update once you connect that 2nd LNB

I've moved your thread to the Decoder section of the Forum as it deals with a decoder issue.

@GeoffD - I see you are taking your happy pills again.

There are other places too for you to access the schedules. If you click on the TV guide section of the DStv.com website, and then on Dish digimag, you can print weekly schedules from there.

Of course, you need to ensure you receive these on your decoder as well but if you want a printed one, that is where you can go.
