Default Free to air channels and the 1110 decoder

hi

I have a queston about the 1110 decoder and the hd pvr. I have the following connected at the moment, a HD PVR connected to a STCR LNB. At the moment i cannot receive the free to air channels on the HD PVR as the it does not support mulitiple bouquets.

If i connect a 1110 decoder to the HDPVR will i be able to receive the free to air channels, i.e will the 1110 decoder be able to pick up the multiple bouquets if linked to the HD PVR using a SATCR LNB. I know there is a legacy port on the LNB but i do not want to run another cable to the 1110 as i do not have space in the conduit for another cable.

Will it work?

Thanks

Gerald

The 1110 requires its own connection to the LNB otherwise there is no point in having it! and in your case it must be connected to the legacy port on the SATCR LNB.

If you use it simply to control the HD PVR remotely it is nothing more than a very large TVLINK.

Dual view functionality requires at least two connections to an LNB. otherwise you are dependent on whatever channels are available on the HD PVR via the SATCR connection.

Two decoders cannot control the same SATCR LNB at the same time, and now I understand why you cannot configure "other networks" on your HD PVR also!

There is nothing to beat a multi-port LNB for flexibility!
If you cxannot get the cable into the conduit, then you need to find another way to run the cable!
