Friday 21 July @ 19:00 on SS1 - Cheetahs v Sharks
Saturday 22 July @ 19:30 on SS1 - Griquas v Blue Bulls

Has the Currie Cup started? Hadn't noticed...and judging from the response on this thread and elsewhere, I'm not alone in that.

Unfortunately once the game became professional the Currie Cup lost it's importance. What was once the Premier rugby competition in this country has now become nothing more than a watered down competition which very few people take seriously anymore. It's all about the Superugby and Tri Nations these days. I'm not even sure how many Springbok players still take part in the Currie Cup? Aren't they resting for the Tri Nations?

Tri-nations is now the Rugby Championship. The Argies might be annoyed at being excluded...

Thanks for the correction. Guess it's what happens when one follows THE WORLD GAME and only has a passing interest in rugby.
