Default SPAM Emails: Increasing

Not sure if this is the right place to report this, so please move it if you feel it necessary.

This week I have received 12 emails purporting to come from MC, using the credentials of a person I know works for Multichoice, making it even more frustrating because you think it is a genuine mail.

To date, I would have to now send an armored car to collect over $4.5 billion in awards that MC owes me ! ( not that I cant do with the cash of course so I am quite prepared to come and collect it if you want )

What should we do about this situation ? Is there someone in MC that will action if I send them copies of these spam mails or should I simply deleted them all?

@Geoff - you can always check the Scam Alerts on DStv.com (link at the bottom of the page). If the scam you received is listed there, you can simply delete it, as it means we are aware of it.

If it is not, then you can send an email to MC Kenneth and he will forward to the relevant folks.

@Marietjie - a typo? We've never been given his email address.

Although that may be helpful, then the whole email header can be passed on.

Send a PM to him requesting his email address - I won't post it here, as he will end up getting lots of spam.

Yes I think what happened here is the spam artists got our contact details off the forum somehow.

Will check the known scams list and act accordingly thanks.
