We’re making some changes to 4 HD channels: 112, 117, 125, 180.Please delete + reset Favourite Channels, Scheduled Recordings, Reminders + Channel Blocking on these channels on 29 Jan.

1.What is the change taking place?
We will be migrating 4 High Definition channels (Studio Universal ch112, Universal ch117, Fox ch125 and Discovery HD Showcase ch180), on 29 January at 00h01.Please note –channel numbers will NOT change.

2.When is the change taking place?
The changes to the channels will take place early in the morning of Wednesday, 29 January at 00h01

3.Which four channels are impacted?
•Studio Universal (channel 112)
•Universal (channel 117)
•Fox (channel 125)
•Discovery HD Showcase (channel 180)

4.Which decoders will be impacted by this change?
All decoders will reboot early in the morning of Wednesday 29 January. At this time, some decoders may tune to channel 100 after the reboot.
The impact to decoder features is limited to DStv Premium customers using the following PVRs:
•HD PVR 4 tuner (Pace)
•HD PVR 4 tuner (UEC)
•HD PVR 2P
•HD PVR 2UDStv Explora
•HD IP PVR

5.What is the impact to customers using these decoders?
• The PVR will tune to channel 100 when the change takes place (early on Wed 29 Jan). (DStv Explora’s may display a “no signal” error for 5 minutes after the change, before tuning to channel 100).
• If there is a recording in progress on another channel, the recording will continue and once complete, the PVR will reboot and tune to channel 100.
•If there is a recording in progress on channel 112, 117, 125 or 180, customers will need to manually reboot the decoder to end the recording.
•If customers are watching TV at the time of the change (whether Live TV, from the buffer, a recording, BoxOffice or DStv Catch Up), the PVR will reboot and tune to channel 100. (DStv Explora’s may display a “no signal” error for 5 minutes after the change, before tuning to channel 100).

This change will also impact the following features on the HD PVRs: Favourite Channels, Reminders, Scheduled Recordings and Channel Blocking. Please note –channel numbers will NOT change.

6.What will happen if my HD PVR or DStv Explora was off or in standby during the change?
The decoder will rescan when you take it out of standby (or switch it on again) and will automatically update the channels.

7.What do I do if there is no audio / video after the change?
Please reboot or reset your PVR. You can do this by pressing and holding the RESET button on the front panel of the decoder.
