Default HD PVR Random Rebooting

Hi All,

Up to now I have not had any major issues with my HD PVR (other than the obvious ones we all experience).

However, this last week my HD decoder has decided to reboot itself. This happens mostly whilst I am watching a recording, but also during normal live viewing.

The unit is not hot.

Is this an imminent hard disk failure about to happen?

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Marc

This is not a good sign. I will forward to the tech guys for comment. Quick question first - is it the Pace (black) or UEC (silver) HD PVR?

Hi Guys

I'm experiencing the same problem as Marc, also with the PACE unit. Any feedback on this issue yet?

Regards
Brett

UEC of mine has been doing it but only about every 2nd day. That is without recording or using anything on the remote.

Same thing with my Pace. It seems to be rather intermittent, I noticed it the other night when I was watching 171 and was accessing the SuperSport Active news.

I have also noticed that it has seemed to reboot in the evening when it was switched off as after a boot the sound level resets to half.

Added to this since the new software I somtimes get a "Searching For Signal Error" when changing channels which sorts itself out in a few seconds. (My recordings are not affected by this??)

Setup: Dual LNB, 6x multiswitch and XtraView with SD PVR.

Did they not comment?

I've had this happen when:

1. Starting a recording on the playlist.
2. Starting a VoD recording.
3. Changing channels.
4. Navigating the EPG (P+).

What are the chances that this would start happening to all of us in this thread at around the same time? Software issue?

... Pace.
