@Goeff I don't know what their current setup is. In Knysna it was a Satcr. When they moved to Somerset West in April it was a twin LNB but they moved again very recently so I have no idea.

WE will go down to Somerset west on 17 December so that is the earliest I can do that test. I must just remember to take the Fluke 77 with me.

Having said all that I am positive that the problem lies on MC's side not the decoders. Where you have 4 decoders with the same problem I think it is fairly conclusive.

Still only 8 titles on CU. It is not that CU is not updating. Those titles that expired were replaced by the latest episodes.

When can we expect some feedback?

Folks so it seems that due to many shows going on production break and only coming back in January, your catalogue on the 2P is up to date. The content team are loading more and new shows for you, starting this weekend.

Thanks for your patience.

So, after not using the interactive menu for the weather, news and sports apps, (press ok on the remote and navigate to these menus), for months today I decide to give them a try. What happens?

Picture on tv freezes and the loading "circle" goes on and on without getting to the news app that I was wanting. Had to end up doing a manual reboot to get out of it.

Guess I'll be doing without these apps again.

@BB Yes I can confirm using the news app either result in the decoder freezes and the loading circle goes on and on which only a reboot can get it out of or when it does load the decoder will reboot like in the old days before the split after you exit the app. Something changed again taking us back to squire one.

@ Geoff I could not take the readings you suggested. The kids decided to take the price freeze option. The decoder was delivered and a new dish was installed. Ironically 1.5m above the ground and the f connector on the SLNB has no rubber sealing tape sealing out moister. Signal strength 75/100

Thanks for the feedback. Now that makes sense, placing the antenna where it can easily be reached.
And yes typical accredited installer **** workmanship for the rest.
