Cringeworthy SS Rugby Advert?
It may just be me? but, from time-to-time there is an advert that is really not funny the first time you see it; worse still, it appears increasingly bad on subsequent viewings, to a point that it quickly becomes a "channel changer" 
Fortunately these "cringeworthy" adverts are not regular occurrences for me but, the attached pic of the chap with the silver peaked hat advertising SS Rugby is a classic! Every time it airs I simply have to leap for the remote!
Anyone else?

The rugby advert that gets me wanting to turn the tv off, or change the channel - as I have done on numerous occasions, is the one advertising Varsity rugby. Where the players are all jumping around but stop when the referee, or whoever, enters the changeroom. Then the referee blows his whistle and they all make a noise once again. For some unknown reason I just cannot tolerate this advert. Must be getting old I suppose.  __________________

I haven't seen that advert, but from the cap I'm guess that's Jack Parow. I suppose he appeals to a certain audience, but doesn't to me, so I could understand how that could be cringeworthy.
But in general, do "humorous" sports adverts really work? Most of the time I find they're not all that funny to begin with, and the joke quickly wears off with repeated viewings.

For really cringeworthy adds the DSTv Explora ads take some beating. First we had price frozen Explora ads x 2, now we have the elderly couple going on about lawn bowls and sport in general. Abysmal

Googled Jack Parow and it looks like the same bloke; though I've (fortunately) not come across him outside of this terrible advert.
Adverts this bad actually damage the brand for me

I haven't seen the add BB mention but I fully agree with the sentiments on both the other two. The Explora add seem like someone woke from a 100 year sleep and has never experienced or seen a PVR. The cap is not cringeworthy it is very close to a broken TV screen.
