Default Live scores on screen during football matches

Hi guys,

A few times over the weekend during the Premier League action that Supersport were advertising games on other channels along with the live scores from those games. Would it be at all possible to exclude the live scores from these adverts, or at least first show a warning that they're about to pop up?

Tonight I plan on watching a Champions League qualifier and recording the Premier League game, and seeing the live score of the latter would ruin this plan. Can anyone offer assurances that this won't be happening?

Thanks in advance!

Very valid point - the the SS moderators appear on here once in a blue moon so chances of an answer before tonight is probably remote....

It's not SuperSport who puts up the scores but Uefa in the case of the Champions League and the EPL in the case of the premier league.

It was Supersport who put up the scores on the weekend. Yes, the Premier League channel does it too, but Supersport display advertisements that read, for example, "West Ham 1 - 0 Cardiff, live now on SS6". These advertisements give no warning that live scores are about to be shown.

That's cross-promotion which needs to be done. You would have already seen the scores (because the EPL had already put them up) by the time SuperSport displays them along with the channel the match is available.

The scores had definitely not been displayed on Saturday before Supersport put them up these "cross-promotion" messages.

The Premier League channel usually brings up a "LATEST SCORES" message before they begin to scroll through the latest scores, which gives the viewer time to look away or cover the bottom of the screen, but on Saturday Supersport brought these messages up (a) before the Premier League channel had displayed any scores, and (b) with no warning that the scores were about to be shown. If it is imperative that Supersport shows these cross-promotional messages, would it be at all possible to (a) simply show a "vs" instead of the latest score, or (b) display a warning that live scores are about to be displayed?

I've just had confirmation from the production managers that SuperSport that doesn't and will not show live scores during cross-promotion. But, broadcasters whom we take the feed from will constantly show all live scores and there is no way that we will be able to warn viewers to look away before these come up.
