Any plans to have it extra view....plus this new decoder?
ie Do we have to be breaking the existing pair to accommodate this new kid on the block?

I'm really sorry to have to say this, and I'm sure that MC is really excited about their new product, but I don't see anything here that justifies me spending R2499 on something that does very little more (in fact, less in some cases) that my current 4P.

In short, "Yawn".

Exciting news but with mixed feelings.

The best part for me is the 40 series recording!

Off course another plus is the extra capacity - although I would have liked to be able to decide how much space I want to allocate for Box Office/CatchUp to allow for more recording space.

The down side is no immediate Internet connectivity - this would have made the announcement 10 times bigger in my mind.

And then, disappointing now that we finally got it on the current HD PVR's:

2. Will DMX DJ be available?
Yes
Please note there is a known issue with DMX DJ a slight delay with the play out of approximately 2.5 minutes. This will be resolved.
2.5 minutes is hardly "a slight delay" in terms of music - that means it is almost an entire song behind missing the whole point of being able to see what is currently playing. What sort of time frame are we looking at to have this fixed? Days, weeks, months or years? And I'm not being sarcastic when adding "years" since that is what it took on the current PVR's......

If not any chance of a trade-in arrangement to dispose one to accommodate the new in the extra view setup?

You would need to break an existing xtraview pair if you want to add the DStv Explora
