Default Extremely frustrated due wifi connector

Had to make some changes to my routing and now the dstv wifi connector is refusing to connect so I can set it up. I have tried wps, didn't work.

I got to the launch page once or twice but then when plugging back into the dstv explora it couldn't connect to the internet.

Now all that I am getting is :

This site canít be reached
dstvwifi.local took too long to respond.
Search Google for dstvwifi local

When trying to access http://dstvwifi.local/

I have tried on 2 desk tops and 1 laptop...

WTH doesn't the dstv explora have a proper wifi setup like all smart phones and smart tv's by now...

Your best bet for this sort of troubleshooting is what I believe is called the DStv Now specialists, via the Call Centre, or you can reach them from some touchpoints online.

The detail of these alternative settings has never become clear on the forum IMO.
All we can suggest is a reset to default settings as used before, then turning off connected services and rebooting the Explora before turning back on.
Your feedback here on resolution would be appreciated.

Update on this. Took the devices ( second explora also failed with the same issues) to an accredited installer yesterday. After having issues with the first agent ( she seemed to get the shock of her life when I mentioned the word ip address). They then took half an hour to fetch a manager...

After he tested both devices resetting, ect and getting the same issues concluded both were faulty.
Replaced both with the new version 2, which works much better.

My final step before taking them had been resetting them but even then when connecting them I couldn't access their ip address as Windows couldn't obtain an ip address from them and had them as unidentified networks.

The manager claimed they were damaged with a power surge. I have my doubts as we have had no power outtages for a while. Think the devices are just poorly made and failed.

Atleast now my dstv is connected again.
