Default American Chopper - new series

What happened to the “new” series of American Chopper?

The first episode aired on the 21st of March on 121 @ 19:00.

There have been no follow-up episodes, just the rebroadcasts of the “old” series..

There should have been Episode 2 on the 28th and Episode 3 on the 4th.

Hi greggb

I've asked our channel team to check what happened. I'll come back to you.

Apology for such inconvenience.

Thanks,

Kenneth

Hi,

Here is the response from the channel:

'American Chopper- the franchise has been ‘rebooted’ in the US which is probably why it’s showing as series 1, so it wasn’t incorrectly labelled as such, but I appreciate it could cause confusion for the viewers and we apologise for this. I believe it would be series 10 if it were added to the original series in numerical order. Episode 1 aired in isolation as part of our Motor Mega Week, and the good news is the rest of the episodes will begin airing in June- episode 2 will be Fri 1/6/18 @ 2000.'

Thanks - I wondered why it was labelled as series one.

Looking forward to June then!!

Hi greggb

Please find response from Discovery:

The American Chopper was rebooted in the US which is probably why it’s showing as series 1, as a result it wasn’t incorrectly labelled. We apologise for the confusion to our viewers.

The series should be showing as (series) 10 in the original numerical order. Episode 1 aired in isolation as part of our Motor Mega Week, and the good news is the rest of the episodes will begin airing in June- episode 2 will be Fri 1/6/18 @ 20h00.
