Default Factory Reset on 2P

Has anyone had the non-responsive remote issue resolved by doing a factory reset on the 2P? I only want to try this as a last resort but am not going to bother unless I know it solved the problem for at least some people using this decoder.

What all settings do I need to take note of/change back afterwards? And have you lost series recordings settings or other future set recordings? Favourites channels?

Hey Krugie
I know its a daft question but have you tried new Batteries
it seems the 2P no longer warns about low battery levels, I had the same problem and only realized it was my batteries after using the remote on my SD PVR it showed a low battery warning on the iPlate, after changing them the 2P was responsive again

Yup - the first thing I did when it originally happened was new batteries.

The decoder receives all the the commands - it just decides for itself when it will eventually execute them - and I am totally fed up with this.

worked well for me - You loose ALL your record - series record - favorite settings EVERYTHING including all the settings in the menu Ones to make a special note of are UHF Tuning - or you'll have to retune all your tv's
Xtra view settings - if applicable and your personal menu preferances.

Maybe a bit OT, but it seems as if the PIN number has changed for my decoder somewhere along the line. Default doesn't seem to work any longer. Anyone else getting this?

The 9949 pin should never change, but it is possible that the 1234 pin has chnaged. Only way to get it back to defaults is for mC to reset it by means of a call to the call centre.

It is the parental lock pin you need to ask to be reset
