Press the BLUE DStv button
Go to Settings
Select System Settings
Select Reset Decoder Settings
Select Reset to Factory Default AND Format Hard Drive (this will delete all recordings, all scheduled recordings, as well as DStv Catch Up content).
Please do not switch the decoder off for at least 15 minutes after this process has completed (this includes no reboots).
Please reenter any personalised settings and then check again after 6-12 hours and let us know if there are still NO BoxOffice titles. Remember, it takes a few days for all DStv Catch Up and BoxOffice content to download.
This is key, often when agencies setup, they reboot the decoder or switch off before the process of setting up everything on the drive is completed. 15 mins sounds a bit long but is a safe figure.
Also it seems a format and factory default is needed when the provisioning of the decoder is not completed successfully.

Another possibility affecting a new Explora's Catch Up (CU) / Box Office (BO) population - this is for those who aren't sure if their Explora signals are good enough;

To check your signal strength and quality readings for all 3 tuners;

Go to Help \ General Information \ Tuner Status

Recommended: Strength 80%> on both horizontal & vertical polarities on tuner 1 & 2, 65 to 70%+ on tuner 3. Quality always best on 90%>, perhaps a bit less would do.

To test tuner 2, start a recording first or the info is unreliable. For tuners 1 & 2 we recommend testing with channels 262 and 405, for tuner 3 just take the readings.
(Note that some other channels can give misleading too-low results as some transponders don't deliver as well as others.)

And here's more detail re the settings to note down if taking in the Explora;
Satellite Settings \ Home Network settings are most important, and those in User Preferences \ Video & Audio, and in System Settings \ Remote Control

EDIT: Also see other important things to check at the end of post #3 before disconnecting it and taking it in.

Had an issue with BO and CU with message "Box Office it is not available in your region" and CU had programs which I suspect belonged to the compact bouquet (old shows like Survivors Remorse S1).
I done the whole reset & reformat and checked this AM and had 3 BO movies and a good few CU shows.

Default Catch Up and Box Office titles

Good day All,

As an absolute novice to the Explora, I have the same problem and will try the resetting as prescribed by MC Brenda. Will the reboot require any additional settings in terms of my XtraView setup, etc?

Thanks for any help

You mean the re-format. If you read this whole thread carefully first and follow all the combined advice you will then understand if it is needed and the details of all important settings to first make a note of.

Then Press the below key combination. 0101 will be displayed on the FP when these keys are pressed.

P- P+ P- P+ for HDD format(0101)
then once again P+ (1) to confirm
