Smile Simple Guide to connecting a 3rd TV..?

Hi Guys,

I've had a look at the forums in this section and can't seem to find any straight forward advice on connecting a 3rd TV..

At the moment I've got a standard PVR decoder which is connected to a 2nd TV with an TVlink..

Just need a simple laymans guide to connecting it..

i.e.

Step 1: Go to the shop and buy x,y and z
Step 2: Connect x to z
Step 3: Use y to scratch balls

Much appreciated..

Regards..

(1) Go to a reputable supplier of Installation components such as Space TV, SAMSAT, SAT-R-US, Ellies and buy:

(1) A DSTV TVLINK compatible active SLX splitter ( one IN, and at least 2 OUTPUT ports), preferably with an option for external power, in case the decoder cannot deliver sufficient power to the splitter.
(2) Another TVLINK eye unit for the 2nd remote TV

(3) SWITCH OFF the decoder, AFTER first disabling TVLINK in the menu setting under advanced options.
(43) Instal the SLX splitter as close to the decoder as possible, connect to the RF OUT port on the SD decoder ( marked TV2), where the current cable to the second TV is connected to.
(4) Connect 2 cables to the 2 output ports on the splitter, one to the existing TV ( the same cable that exists at the moment, plus the 2nd to the third TV
(5) Install the second TVLINK on the 3rd TV
(6) Switch on the decoder, enable TVLINK on the decoder under advanced menu
(7) Tune in third TV so that you can watch both TV1 and TV2 at the remote points.
(8) Fight about who is going to be able to change what when and which remote is going to be used at the 3rd point.

All over

(9) do whatever you like about step 3 in your list

Hi Geoff,

I've followed your instructions, but it's not quite working yet.. There is no audio on TV3 and both the eye links do not show a red light and are not working..

Please help..!

Regards
