Hello Geoff and Forum Members

So replaced the LNB and the MS and still have same problem - all cable connections secure - looks like some issue maybe with SDPVR (HDPVR) - or would you suggest something else before I take trip from PTA to Randburg.

Thanks Bill

There is only one thing left related to the antenna, and that is alignment - need to get an installer in to check. Otherwise you have a problem with the decoders, so it is your choice which to do first - have the decoders verified or antenna alignment and skew angle checked.

The HD decoder ( especially the signal to tuner 4 is very sensitive poor signal and Quality incoming)
What are the signal levels and quality on the SD decoder (TV1 and TV2), see advanced menu options [below 65% signal = border line to be able to lock onto the signal)

Hi Geoff - thanks quick reply.

Signal level on TV1 and TV2 is at 80% plus. On the HD it is 98% strength. Signal on tuner 4 is at 98% as well.

Self installation - willing to get installer in to check - I see you are in Pta zone - is it correct for me to ask on this forum who you can recommend to come and check for me.

Thanks Bill

Those signal levels are excellent so we can rule out alignment. I will send you a DIY recipe for skew angle adjustments, but increasingly it looks like decoder problems.
