Default SD PVR - temp switch off

Hello DSTV,

I have 2 decoders set up with extra view, allowing me to watch 3 channels simultaneously.

I am planning on switching them off for a un-specified amount of time.

Question: with the HD and SD PVRs no longer supported by DSTV, when the time comes to turn back on, will you guys switch them on ? or will I be forced to buy two new Explorers thus loosing one channel ?

Thanks

Kevin

Something us Forumites can answer as well - no problem, there's a difference between end of support which these decoders are classified as, and end of life. They will certainly still be valid for subscription usage for a long time to come.

It's been discussed in detail over the last few months, with Mod contributions, so we're 100% certain of this.

Ja/Nee - technical service centre support, but not new software developments support, which is still called end of support by MC.
Same for the 2P, only the 4U and 2U are at "full end of support" (and the SD PVR and some others).

Again Ja/Nee

They're doing some "emergency" software fixes & changes still where possible (which isn't the same as new developments for anyone unclear about that), I believe less so on the UEC models. That's my take on it, it was never completely clear re these finer details and was spread across a number of threads.
I think some of this happens without an update.
What can I say, it's a complicated business, especially the HD PVRs :-/
