Lightbulb Confusing forum section names

Hi MC, may we again ask you to please consider changing the names of a few of the forum sections as we endlessly see less experienced customers posting in the wrong sections.
Mods don't always have the time to move threads and so the Mods of the correct sections concerned don't see them.

General - this is the worst, it needs to be something like "Channels and their Content"

Broadcast Errors - how about "Broadcast & TV Guide Errors"

Discussions - it's often misunderstood that this is mainly a Forumites section with little Mod involvement, suggest "Casual Discussions"

Does anyone else have comments or other suggestions to add?

I think part of the confusion may come from the forum descriptions as seen on the forum homepage.

This is the General description.
Quote:
This section is for questions and discussions about specific shows on any of the DStv channels or about the channels themselves. MC Lindi looks after this section with help from moderators from specific channels such as MC Portia for M-Net, MC Ryan for Vuzu and MC Nic for third party channels.
And this is the Discussions description.
Quote:
This section is for general discussions about MultiChoice or our DStv service. MC Lindi looks after this section.

At a first read, it's not immediately clear what the difference between the two is. So I think it's both the names and the descriptions that could do with a revision.

There have also been numerous complaints about forum section navigation by new users who are using Tapatalk, can anyone who uses it help narrow down what the problem is?

Don't think it's so much a Tapatalk issue as maybe a user issue. Have created a new thread in this forum, by merely picking the correct subforum

The user issue does seem more likely. In any case, I'm not sure whether there's much that MC can do if there is a problem with a Tapatalk.

Agreed guys, but Luke, is there a clear "Home Page" button at the top of every and any type of forum page?

There was also the error-when-trying-to-post-in-other-sections issue that @rock4us2 had (he since resolved it), I think also reported in the past.

I don't know if it's the proper solution or something that just worked for me but I found out I couldn't post to a sub forum I hadn't subscribed to.

I posted in Customer Service without having subscribed to it. I only noticed the subscription icon because you mentioned it and I went looking for it

Well at least we know what to suggest as a remedy now, thanks.
