Ok, works with some, and not with others tested - local / non-local doesn't seem to be a factor after all.

I wonder if forum emails haven't maybe been blocklisted somewhere on the net. May be worth checking, I know of two Forumites who have had their personal email addresses blocklisted by mistake so can easily happen to a larger concern.

As for my probable plan - a factor of gmail will redirect to Hetzner for easy access, which will forward to Vodamail to alert me as usual, which will then automatically get sucked up by standard gmail

I have not received any email notifications for some time now. Can't see any problem in my settings on the forum and I certainly did not change my email settings at Vodacom. I use a vodamail email address.

Just check your gmail online, for testing purposes. That's where mine stays btw... don't want all that rubish on my laptop Have routed my forum email to my work email, btw, not gmail

No work email......retired. I will give gmail a try and then revert back to vodamail if that is not the problem. Will take it from there once the problem is Identified.

Just a warning for anyone trying to change their contact email address here - if when doing so you don't get the security response in your email with its reactivation link then you'll end up not being able to post.

Solution - keep trying to set it for other email addresses you can use until one of them successfully delivers the link.

Note that the one that works will then end up receiving alerts :-)

Are there any of the MC reps that can assist Jan with this problem, of being stuck in italics due to not being able to receive emails and thus not able to confirm the email change ??
