With what we havwe seen it does not make a difference if it is live or buffered.

It was seen again here recently when watching a recording of Imposters E1 from M-Net. It was minor this time but it was noticed that it also interrupted the start of one ad break. Other ad breaks were ignored so I cannot say further than that.

I also experience this all the time on many of my recordings. I'm not sure whether it is limited to M-Net Edge but the majority of my recordings are on that channel.

Smile Maybe...

Did Mnet solve this by just getting rid of Mnet edge? 😉

After initially raising this years ago and getting no response or explanation, I have just learnt to ignore it. Yes it is irritating. But now that you mention it I will look out for it again and report examples.

I noticed this morning on FFW on SABC2 that when resuming playback that the sound was missing for a few seconds.

The initial-audio-loss problem that this thread tries to understand was also found to be on 115 M-Net City last night on our Explora 1. Our first real use of the channel, in this case while watching Elementary S5E10 buffered but live or buffered has never made a difference in our experience.
I'm not planning to monitor or post about this further.

Strange that technicians haven't seen fit to keep an eye on this with (for starters) all M-Group channels.

TIA Portia, and thanks for your as usual great assistance :-)

It's starting to look like we can see the light a bit again with the M-Group, here's hoping for an end to the potholes
