Default Is the Xiaomi Mi Box Supported?

I've noticed that the sticky thread on supported devices for DSTV Now seems to be quite out of date (it was last updated in late 2015).

Many new devices have since been released and may be running newer versions of Android. In particular I'd like to know about the Xiaomi MI Box, which runs Android TV 6.0 and has both widevine l1 and playready 3.0 drm.

Thanks Jan.

This really looks like the perfect streaming device for my second tv, so while I won't hold out too much hope, I was really hoping for feedback so I don't risk buying a product that may not be compatible.

While i know that to account for every device is unreasonable - I really do think that DSTV should be able to keep a more extensive and up to date list.

The latest version (which landed a few days ago) adds support for a bigger variety of android devices. A few of us here used to not be able to load it on our phones/tablets but now it works for us, so I'm optimistic that it will work.

Have just updated my Android Minix Neo U1 with the new version, and it works. So maybe just try it

A mybroadband user said that both DSTV now and Supersport work on the Mi Box. So I'll give it a go and I'll report back.
