Default Existing installation - 2 Explorers in extraview with Quad LNB

Hi

Existing installation: 2 Explorers in extraview from Quad LNB and a 5-1 ES at each of the Explorers. Primary in Lapa(part of main house)and Secondary in the main bedroom. Don't want to change existing setup(installation). Working just fine.
Busy installing HD PVR 2P decoder in main bedroom of a 2 bedroom flatlet above the garage for a 3rd view(2nd extraview). Not yet "activated" for 3rd view at multichoice on the system. Must use the RF OUT of HD PVR 2P to TV in 2nd bedroom of flatlet with remote control at 2nd TV.
I have used the Port 1(single cable)from the ES at the Primary Explorer for the "signal" through a AS2F both ports power pass(two way splitter)at the HD PVR 2P decoder connected to the LNB1 and LNB2 of decoder. Receive signal and "Promo channel 100" showing fine. Did not connect the cable for HB from Primary Explorer to HD PVR 2P decoder as yet before I'm not sure that the HD PVR 2P will be compatible for 3rd channel viewing and with all PVR functions.
Question 1: Can the HD PVR 2P work as 3rd view decoder with all its PVR functions or not?
Question 2: If the HD PVR 2P is not compatible for 3rd channel viewing and need to be replaced with the Explore 2, what need the "network settings" be on the 3rd Explora 2?
If needed to replace the HD PVR 2P with the Explore 2 for 3rd viewing I will replace the 5-1 ES at Primary Explore with the 5-2 ES and connect the cable for 'signal' from Port B of 5-2 ES to the Unicable Port at Explore 2 decoder in main bedroom of flatlet.
Thanx in advance for feedback.

Morning

A1: No can do. "DStv customers must use a DStv Explora decoder as their primary decoder, and then link any combination of DStv Exploras or Single View DStv HD decoders in this three decoder arrangement" from here : https://www.dstv.com/en-za/news/conn...aview-20160620

A2: I'm still learning about this setup so will rather let someone else answer this.

Good luck!

Have a read through this thread : http://forum.dstv.com/showthread.php?t=34394

It's long but there's a lot if good info on the first page already. Not a quadLNB setup mind you, but still useful info.

For instance you'd need to run diplexers on your older xplora 1s.

As already stated, you cannot implement view 3 under one subscription with any of the older decoders.

Assuming you are prepared to run the third decoder on a separate subscription, THEN:

A. One of the ways to increase the number of decoders used (old ones) is to replace the existing quad LNB with an 8-way LNB. (Assuming you are prepared to run the third decoder on a separate subscription.

B. The older LMX 500 SLNB will allow for the installation of a 2 tuner decoder connected to the Legacy ports, which will be independent of the other decoders in the mix.

The Pace 2P PVR allows for the adjustment of the user bands so you could possibly come up with a configuration to support 3 of them on a SLNB (new or old).

You need to review remote control of decoders and which decoders you want to be able to view where, as this will affect how you distribute RH and HB to the two decoders connected under XV.
