Default World Cricket

England, England, England, whats happening - nothing has changed for Team England, they got lambasted from SL, SL bowled England out for 99 runs

Yusuf Pathan hit the fast 50 in IPL history - damn that was a good highlight package

Who would have guessed that MI will reach 190 runs in 14.3 overs to qualify for the knock out stage of the IPL, I certainly didn't but MI batsmen, they came out guns blazing from the very first ball. Sometimes we see a good game and we think that it was the best until another game comes along, RR was confident that they would cruise in the next phase, even Dravid said so. Gotta love MI, now they can prove their critics wrong

That MI match was entertaining!
Imagine they had missed out by one ball, when in the last match Lendl Simmons took his time taking singles to get to 100, they probably wasted 5 or 6 balls finishing off that match

What were the odds of a leg side full toss being bowled THAT ball and then being hit for six?

No, seriously, what were the odds?

You see, even if it was completely legit, a chase like that involving a team that's already been implicated in spot betting, it becomes so easy to question the result.

I'm still not sure how needing the runs in 14.2 overs suddenly went out the window by hitting ball 14.4 for six...you still failed to get to the target in time...

They needed 190 in 14.3 overs
They got 195 in 14.4 overs

The latter is a better run rate

Regarding the leg side full toss, it would've been a wide if he left it, so MI would've won regardless, so ja terrible ball!

There is a strong possibility but only if this case is taken up by the IPL. Maybe this will not be immediate case but I guess in time, all will be revealed

I hate any sort of match fixing or cheating in sports

Such a pity that money has taken over the running of sport. In years gone by, long time ago, we would all have been praising the Mumbai Indians for a remarkable victory instead we find ourselves questioning the legitimacy of the result

Forgetting match fixing and taking the result as being legit it was an amazing match and one which I thought the Indians could perhaps win but definitely didn't expect them to do so within the 14.3 overs that they needed to do it in.

As the saying goes momentum is now with the Indians and who is to say that after looking gone and buried a week or so ago they cannot now go on to win the tournament outright.

The first qualifier is postponed due to rain - I was looking forward to some good cricket in the latter stage of this tournament

England bowled out the Sri Lankans for 99 and went on to win by ten wickets thereby taking a 2 - 1 lead in the series.

Mumbai Indians CHOKE and from a decent looking position end up posting a score far below what they at one time looked like getting. CSK then went on to gain a fairly comfortable victory and proceed to the final qualifyer against KXiP.
