Default TV Link (Eye)

Hi all

My TV Link is malfunctioning, perhaps due to the 2F/1M connector at the back. It is not only remote that's affected, but also audio/video.

Does anyone have a diagram what it is suppose to look like (inside the connector), just in case some wiring is loose etc... Just want to check it out myself before actually buying a new one...

Are you sure it is actually faulty and not just a case of beinbg connected the wrong way round?

Sorry I have not had any cause to open the device .

The main thing to keep in the back of your mind is a TV link eye device has a built-in DC block so there will be some or other isolation circuit on the output to the TV.

Hi Geoff

Thank you for your response. No, it was connected fine and when it started giving issues, I would nudge it slightly and that would usually solve the problem. Now it's not working at all anymore. The cover came off rather easily and on inspection i noticed a couple loose wires in there. Hence my request for a complete diagram, as i would not want to perform a "trial-and-error" on my decoder/tv...

try and trace the shield from input to output first.
then the centre conductor --- it may go via a small capacitor. then there should be a circuit connected acorss the input for the eye functionality.

That is about as much as I can help.

Should have added the power feed to the eye itself will be polarity sensitive so if those are the wires broken off make sure you get them correct.
