The 4 tuner decoders are able to make use of a SATCR universal connection, and it is accepted that the default user bands are 0,1,2,3.

The UEC 4 tuner does not allow the user bands to be changed. Not sure about the PACE 4 tuner.

So change the Explora to use 4,5,6

The Explora should be set to be the primary.

IF you have a LMX 500 SLNB , you should be able to use a 2 x 4 MS as well. Leave the existing HB cabling in place.

The call centre probably assumed that you were referring to a HD PVR 2 tuner.

Thank you for everyone's input. System is setup successfully without any problems. Running a cable to each decoder from the Unicable ports A & B. Explora settings changed to 4,5 and 6.

Great, enjoy!

@Luke - Unicable is designed to carry feeds for multiple tuners on one cable.
(The older term used, "SATCR Universal", may be confusing a bit as "Universal" on its own is also the name for the other type of old standard port.)

@Jan - yes, UEC HD PVRs can't be adjusted, but what indexes are then used for the Explora does not have to be 4,5 & 6, can be anything available from 4 upwards (or index 2 upwards with the 2 tuners) and makes no difference. This has been confirmed on the forum.
For the PACE units, any non-clashing choices are fine.

BTW guys, the MC agent wasn't just confused about amount of cables, it was the type of ports to use as well so he should be corrected or this kind of BS spreads.

@MC Field Services - are index choices still limited to the fist few on the Explora 1's tuner 1, or was that enhanced as planned in a later s/w update?

@Optimus Agreed. With the 30 user bands available on the LMX501 you may use any user band not used by default by the other decoder. My screen shot of the user band settings of my Explora is just an easy way to give out all the information required to setup the Explora without typing all the data.

Thanks, having an older LNB/switch setup I wasn't sure
