Default Reminders

Is there a way of setting up custom time based reminders?

Hi there, do you mean reminders for shows on your Explora?

Yes auto tuning. I really don't want pre-match discussions.

You can only set a reminder/auto-tune if the times on the TV Guide are broken down between the discussions and the actual game - i.e. separate items on the guide - rugby is normally loaded like this - not sure about soccer. You can't set a reminder/auto-tune for a specific time - which I think is what you are asking.

To set the reminder you just press OK on the program on the TV Guide and choose Set Reminder.

If you are watching live TV, a notice will pop up to advise you will be auto-tuned in 10 seconds. You can then choose to skip the auto-tune, change channel right away or wait for the counter to finish counting down.

I think if you are busy watching a recording or CU, you also have the choice to just change the channel in the background and carry on watching what you are busy with. This will allow other people to maybe watch the new channel on another TV.

Agree with Krugie - you're only able to set event based reminders...

Just tested this, Krugie is correct.

Not sure what you mean here. Certainly not possible at the same time, but after you're finished watching they could access it by rewinding the buffer (within 2 hours), and on any connected TV.
Presume that's what you meant.

Sorry yes - that is what the actual benefit would be. For some crazy reason I was thinking someone connected via RF can watch the tuned channel while you watch a recording or CU (wouldn't that be nice ) but obviously that is not possible.

Remember, the nice thing about the auto tune on the Explora is that it happens in the background (it only "kicks" you out of what you're tuned to / watching, if you select that).
When you tune back to live TV, you can easily use the status bar to find the section you're looking for.

Some of these pundits are nauseating and I just want to get right into the action. It would be great to get this feature.
