Default #BlackFriday Specials

DStv celebrates #BlackFriday with big discounts on decoders and installations
Friday, November 24 is Black Friday and this year DStv will give you the chance to celebrate with incredible discounts on DStv decoders and installations.
If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a DStv Explora, now is your chance – you can buy it for R899 (usual price R1499) or fully installed with a DStv WiFi Connector for just R1499.
DStv Premium customers can connect their DStv Explora to the internet, to get access to the extended world of entertainment on DStv Catch Up Plus which includes box sets of series and the M-Net Movies library of almost 1000 movies. They also get free access to Showmax, which is then accessible through the internet-connected Explora.
When your Explora is connected to the internet, you can also use the handy Remote Recording feature to set recordings when you are not at home.
The Black Friday deals are available at selected retailers: Game, Takealot, HiFi-Corp, Pick n’ Pay Hyper market & DStv service centres and agencies. These deals are limited to while stocks last and¬ subject to change without notice. The deals exclude the monthly DStv subscription
Go to DStv.com for more information about the DStv Explora.

Hi Geoff, you can take any of these deals without the need to trade-in your SD PVR. AND then on top of that, you can ALSO get any of the SD PVR trade-in deals available

These deals are worse than the trade-in deals so there is no specific Black Friday advantage for SD PVR owners - even though the other post from Phil Nicholson hinted that there might be.

I think the idea may be that you can use a SD PVR trade in deal for the best Explora option, then still get a 2nd and maybe 3rd Explora at a fair discount.

Meh!

If I go with anything it will be option 2.

Explora 2A, SLNB, 25m cabling, 80 cm antenna, and throw away the installation voucher.

Swop out the SLNB with the LMX 500 my daughter has and use the SLNB to feed the existing 4 tuner decoders I have. 2 universal ports feeding a 2 x 6 MS.

A Point of Order please. Must you hand in the old SD PVR and SC when you do the swop out or can you keep it and view recorded content before binning it?

Hi there, we no longer make or sell the Explora, so it is only for Explora 2.

Geoff - if you're taking up a trade-in offer, you need to hand in your SD PVR and smartcard. Any queries, happy to help
