Default Disposing of old PVR's

I have a whole selection of PVR's that I have replaced over the years which I now need to dispose of. Is it as easy as simply dumping it into the electronic waste bin or is there some requirement from MC in so far as disposal goes ??
They all still have SC's in too.

Hi there, thanks for checking Andrew. We do have electronic waste bins at all our service centres that you can use. We then ensure the components are responsibly recycled, including the smartcards.

The closest one to you will probably be Randburg on Oak Avenue.

Thanks. We have electronic recycling at the school which I'll use. I was more concerned about any steps that I need to make to "deregister" them off the MC system ??

If they are not currently registered against your name or account, they are not actively registered on our system. So essentially no need to worry.

Hi Andrew, Why would you not simply remove the SC and cut it up before disposing of the decoder?
In that case nobody could attempt to re register it or attempt any of the shenanigans that people sadly seem so intent on, these days, in your good name.
Cheers, K.
