Default Explora not responding to Remote

I have notice a very frustating change on the Explora since the last software update. I first thought it happend during when the decoder went into standby and did not respond when I wanted to turn on with the remote or with the power button. Set decoder to not go to standby and when I got home not did not respond to remote or front panel controles! What is up with this?

A couple of times I have had an issue with the Explora not accepting commands from the remote.

Twice while watching a recorded program the remote would suddenly become unresponsive even though I can see the LCD flickering on the front panel when I press a button. The recorded program would continue to play but I can not pause it or press stop. The only way to resolve and bring back the remote to life is to reboot.

Is this another known issue with the Explora ? ...sigh.

Hi, it is a known issue. MC have suggested setting the decoder to allow Standby. I have set mine to 8 hours and seems to have resolved the issue

I always have to press the power button twice, sometimes three times before the Explora switches on.

What is up with this?

I am also having a problem with the A5 remote.
If I'm watching a recording and want to pause, it sometimes shows the screen stretch icon on the top right and will only pause after repeated button presses.
Then, pressing volume or channel up and down sometimes doesn't work. I noticed that both blue led's flicker dimly when this happens. Brand new batteries do jack.

Don't these remotes have a warranty?

On the UEC 4T the same happens. I have got so used to it. I never let the thing go into STBY but if I Find it in STBY, I press the power button, go to the kitchen and get a beer or make coffee and then by time I get back the decoder has switched on. ....

Possibly not a remote issue but a decoder issue so don't be too hasty to replace the remote(s)
