So this is a site where you can access content sorted for you because some or other AI process thinks it understands what you like to watch when you are feeling certain emotions?

Does that sum up the goal of this new guide facility?

Well I in principal reject the concept that some or other computer program can ever measure what I am feeling nor can a machine ever decide for me what I want to when I want to do it an how I want to do it.

So sorry guys, I see zero value in this at all.

I make my own decisions.

I looked closely now, it's not a partial effort either as no new M-group Oct. info has been added to any section and we're already a week into October.

Maybe it's part of their improved CU info efforts but then why hasn't a Mod responded here and why isn't there an "under new construction" type sign on the calendar??
Really MC, you do these things to yourselves

Is this rubbish supposed to replace Series calendar, which has not been updated since September? Upcoming attractions features nothing that could possibly be helpful to a series watcher. One show for 2018, one for November and a wedding. Seriously?

Not impressed at all. It's not interactive and certainly not a replacement for the printed DSTV guide. It just links to the useless online TV guide. seriously people who helps you with design and usability. One disaster after the other.

To be honest, this is a bit of an embarrassment to DStv. It is an effort to compete with the likes of Netflix, which offers suggestions based on personal viewership. Even Showmax has a version of this, although it is far less useful than the Netflix version. The Guide is a just bunch of curated playlists based on mood. While the playlists might surface a couple of shows that I have never considered before, it is not personalised, nor is there any "AI" used.

For those of us that have linked our Exploras to the internet, why not make an opt-in option to share our viewership details with DStv, and then make The Guide personalised? I'm sure this would be far more useful, and DStv would gain valuable market data in return.

...

• Curated Playlists - convenient recommendations based on your top shows...

Thanks for the correction. I guess a few of us were led off track by the wording

@MC - It's also yet another very similar and so confusing term to call these Playlists, when we already have the original Playlist that contains our recorded content

From the related CU thread, now sums it up IMO;
