Unhappy Replacing DSTV HD PVR 4P PACE with Explora

Hi

Please assist. I just bought the Explora and want to replace my old HD PVR. I thought this was just gonna be a plug and play :-(
I bought the smart LNB and tried to replace my old twin LNB. This didnt work. Is there any manual I can use as a guide to DIY this installation?
I still have the 60 cm dish.

Welcome :-)

I suggest sending a PM (Private Message) to Geoff D for his DIY dish & LNB adjustment recipe, and for instructions regarding your setup, you can do so by clicking here

Mention this thread to him.

Any reason why the DIY method is not just listed in the DIY tips/tricks post?

It's not actually going to be posted, just a mention with a direct link for sending a PM to Geoff.

It's been decided that posting the recipe in public could lead to too many people not familiar enough with DIY trying it without Geoff's guidance

Hmm.. seems a bit unnecessary as all the guidance is in the recipe already. But each to his own.

Keep up the good work chaps and thanks for the community service!

Installs are usually too different from each other for enough general info to be included, and there's a lot of visitors to the forum who aren't even registered so can't quickly use PM's or posting for additional help :-)

Thanks for the thanks and thank you for also helping Shaun, you've got much to offer!
